Baby Shower

I recently went to my friend Lindsey's baby shower.
So excited for her to finally get to adopt!
Truly one of God's miracles.
Our friend JaNay put together some wonderful decorations.
I get to share her ideas with you for the next baby shower you host!
She chose turquoise, cream, coral, a little gray and burlap brown for the colors.
The shower was held at our church to accommodate a large crowd.
Here is the entry as you walk in.
Fun idea to use little clothespins to clip childhood pictures (of the soon to be mom and dad) on twine stretched across an empty frame.
The burlap curtain is accented with these beautiful large tissue flowers that you can find at Hobby Lobby- they come in great colors.

Guests could write down advice for the new mom in a journal
which they also used to write down gifts after they were opened.  Great idea!
Pretty pearl gumballs in a compote dish.

Tulle cascades down over a display table.

How to disguise a basketball hoop in this gym?
Lots of flowers and tulle!  The effect reminded me of netting over a bassinet.
It created a pretty focal point.

On the table was a basket for cards.
This is genius-- the ruffles around the lined basket are a little girls elastic skirt! Just add ribbon, tag and flower around the edge.  Vintage cute!

Our friend Carrie made these cute vinyl sayings on painted boards.
They'll be used to decorate the nursery later.

Carrielynn put together this yummy brunch.
Beautiful with the white serving dishes and burlap runner.

Table centerpieces were rounds of tulle with tissue flowers.
JaNay used these pretty chalkboard paints on the mason jars.
I love the colors.

Especially this blue.  It's called Refreshing,
a chalk paint by Americana found at Hobby Lobby.

So much love in the room that day for Lindsey and her new little one!
