Home Reno Days #2-5

Renovation is in full swing!
Here is what's been accomplished on days 2-5.

It's taken a few days to get the thick Satlillo tile out.
And what dust!
The guys taped plastic around walls to block it out,
but we still have a layer over everything.

Funtastic Friday #176

We've got our flooring in!
We went with wood looking tile.
(check back tomorrow for a new home reno post!)
Nicki's accent wall reminds me of this tile.

DIY Rustic Wood Wall- For Free!

Her wall is so cool made from old wood slats.
Definitely a fun focal point!

That business that always comes around May
with the end of the school year has already started!
Get ahead of the game and prep your end of the year teacher gifts now.
We have the perfect tag to attach to a flowering plant, potted herbs or mini cactus...
and gift done!

Now on to this week's party!

Funtastic Friday #175

Our home remodel is coming along nicely.
Look for an upcoming post soon on the progress!
You can check out the inspiration board {here}
and the remodel plan plus demo day #1 {here}

Churro Ice Cream Cups that are easy to make and fun to eat! They're piped on cupcake tins for the perfect serving size and baked, not fried, so they're a little better for you. They're perfect for summer parties and everyone eats their cup so no dirty dishes.

I've got Cinco de Mayo on my mind.
and Miranda's churro ice-cream cups would be so fun to make on the 5th!
I love churros and this is a sweet twist on the traditional churro sticks.

We have another grad this year!
I've got to make her a graduation banner.
I make one for each grad in our high school colors.
You can print off your own full size banner for 2018 {here}

You can also make a printable mini banner {here}
Don't worry, each banner has different number options
so you can print the right year for your graduate!

Now on to the party!

Welcome to this week's Funtastic Friday!

Dairy Free Hawaiian Tropical Smoothie Recipe

We're in the middle of a home reno project,
so things are a little crazy around here.
Can't wait for the new kitchen and to make
Janice and Susan's  tropical smoothie.
It looks so refreshing!
I'm not sure where the blender is at the moment,
but have this recipe Pinned!

Modern Farmhouse Kitchen Remodel-Demo Day #1

I've been waiting 12 years since we moved into this house
to take on some updating and replacing worn out fixtures.

It's one of those things when you move into a place
and have a list of things you want to replace, update or redo
and then life gets busy, money goes to cars, college, etc.
But when things start breaking, rusting out
and you finally convince the hubs--
reno begins!

Farmhouse Kitchen Makeover! -Inspiration Board

Getting ready for a kitchen makeover!
I'm beyond excited, this is a long time in the making
and we're finally doing it!

Funtastic Friday #173

We have exciting things going around here this week.
We started our long over due kitchen updates and remodel!
Check back each week for new posts on the progress!

Angie's canvas would look great in our new family room space.
A friend of mine showed me this technique a few months ago and I've been meaning to try it out.
Live Craft Love has a great tutorial-so easy!

I'm all about quick and easy projects these days.
And anything with black and white buffalo check.
Our check table runner fits the bill on both counts!
Fun as a handmade gift for a friend
and on your own farmhouse kitchen table.

Let's check out more crafty inspiration on this week's party!

Easy Buffalo Check Table Runner

I caught the buffalo check bug a few months ago
and found a quick way to make a quilted check table runner.

Bought a yard and 1/2 of this already quilted buffalo check fabric.
Love those black and white squares.
The length worked well for my table, but I think next time I'll go with 2 yards

What's great with this fabric
is that you already have a grid for cutting.
I wanted mine to be about 12" wide so I just counted in 13 squares and cut the length of the fabric.
