Pantry Organization & Storage- before & after

This project was long over due.
Over the past few years life got so busy
that we found ourselves just throwing things in the pantry.
It's been on my "to do" list for awhile.
On our last three day weekend, we tackled it!

Valentines Day Ideas and Funtastic Friday #110

Welcome back to Funtstic Friday!
Last week we shared some of our favorite Valentine posts from the past few years.
You can check out our printable LOVE tags, valentines, decor and much more {here}

We also shared some amazing recipes for Brown Sugar Carrots and Challah Bread
Along with all the "how tos" to make your own  Wood Crates with Casters. I'm loving these for pantry storage!

Now on to the party!

Challah Bread

This recipe for Challah Bread is so easy and utilizes your bread machine to make up the dough- my favorite way!  Its yummy to slice up on its own or form the dough into individual rolls or buns- perfect for pulled pork sandwiches!  Enjoy!

Brown Sugar Carrots

This is a family favorite year round, but I make this side dish especially during the winter months. There is something so warm and comforting about it! It's yummy, kid friendly, and easy to make. I've even made it for a potluck using heirloom carrots. It was a hit!

HOPE Embroidery

A small word which holds such promise.

It's a new year and instead of resolutions,
a word or phrase theme seems to work for me.
Something motivating, to think about when you're trying to accomplish things
or facing challenges.
Last year's motto was Press Forward.
About midway through that year, hope started to come to my mind and became my new motto.

So we're staring out with HOPE for 2017!
(maybe mid-way we'll have a new theme?!)
HOPE is a word that lightens our load, can build bridges,
gives comfort, helps you aspire,
is full of expectation, encourages to make a plan,
has compassion, makes you stronger, puts faith to work,
and anticipates something better.
It does require action to fulfill those dreams you are hoping for.
So put your best foot forward and move towards those hopes!

As a visual reminder
I made this sweet little embroidery.

James 1 Printables

"If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God,
that giveth to all men liberally,
and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering.
For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea,
driven with the wind and tossed."

From James 1:5-6, some great and powerful verses.
It's just one of my many favorite scripture references.
It was chosen to be the 2017 theme for youth in our church this year
and has served as the inspiration for a few fun printables,
that I've designed to use myself and thought you might like them too!

2017 Desktop Calendar (printable)

Welcome 2017!
Have you got that organizational bug?
We've been cleaning out and decluttering.

In our office, I like to have a calendar near by when I'm working on the computer and projects.
Just something small to refer to.
I've made up this printable 2017 desktop size calendar to share with you!

Two months to a sheet of paper.
Just cut in half.
Hang on a cork board, clip in a frame, or leave on your desktop.

Hoping to Adopt

This wonderful family is hoping to add to their family through adoption. They are dear to my heart as they are family. I admire Michael and Annie for many reasons. They are loyal to their family and faith and I try to emulate them in many ways.
Michael and Annie inspire me to be a better person and to reach out to others along the way. Their girls are happy, bright, and kind and my children adore these cousins. Yes, they do already have three delightful daughters, but as my brother-in-law states, "Annie is one of eight children and I am one of five children - we both love big families. When we were engaged, we talked often about our future children as we both wanted a big family. Although we have 3 daughters, it has been a struggle throughout our marriage to get pregnant. There have been times when my heart hurts that another month has passed and we are not pregnant. We know there is another child that is meant to be part of our family and we look forward to meeting him or her!"

Here is a link to their adoption blog: Michael and Annie
