Challah Bread

This recipe for Challah Bread is so easy and utilizes your bread machine to make up the dough- my favorite way!  Its yummy to slice up on its own or form the dough into individual rolls or buns- perfect for pulled pork sandwiches!  Enjoy!

Challah Bread

1 Egg at room temperature
1 Cup + 1 Tbsp Warm Water
3 Tbsp.  Oil
2 Tbsp. Sugar
1 1/2 tsp. Salt
3 1/4 Cups Bread Flour
1 1/2 tsp. Yeast
______________________________________________________
Egg Glaze:  1 egg yolk beaten + 1 Tbsp Water
Poppy Seeds

Add all ingredients in order into your bread machine and set on a dough cycle.  Once completed, take your dough out and cut into three even sections and preheat your oven.  With each section, roll into a long log.  Connect all three long ends together and braid.  Place braided dough on a cookie sheet in a warm and dry area and allow to rise again for around 45 minutes or double its size.  Brush your egg glaze on and sprinkle poppy seeds on top.  Bake at 375 for about 25 minutes or brown.
