For this teenage girl party, we made "glow" block party favors.
The wooden blocks are about 2 1/4" x 4 1/2" and 1 1/2" thick.
Sand your edges and paint.
We used Americana craft acrylic paint in Bubblegum Pink and Warm White and mixed them together to get a really light pink.
On your computer, make a template of the word or words you want on your block in a font you like. I'm using Markus the Cow. Enlarge your word to fit the size of the block and print.
Place some carbon paper under your lettering and trace. The carbon image will be left on the block.
You could paint in your letters like we did {here} or use a paint pen and color them in.
I found this great gold leaf finish paint pen at Hobby Lobby.
The gold really shines.
These blocks were turning out great, but needed a little extra "bling".
I picked up a roll of this glittery gold tulle. Tied it around in a knot. Then I slipped another strip of tulle under that knot and tied once, trimmed the edges a little shorter and fanned out these little pieces of tulle for the spiky bow.
Perfect party favor for our party!
