Christmas in the Woods Table Decorating

Last week, my mom and I did a dry run of Christmas Eve. We wanted to set the table to make sure we had everything and to know how to set the decorations out for the big evening. I have to say that we are pretty exciting with how this theme is developing!

The ornaments that we made last week will be used as napkin rings.

Because the theme is Christmas in the woods, you've got to incorporate animals. May be it's an universal theme this year because I've seen animals everywhere - Michael's, Jo Anne's, Target, World Market. Are animals a thing this Christmas? Any way, I bought three little woodland creatures to decorate the table. Two of these I bought at 70% off!

Here are our friends.

Along with the animals, I bought a Christmas garland (which will be used for years to come) to run down the center of the table. I love this garland because it has pine cones and red berries among the greenery. We tucked the animals here and there among it.

We also used some plaid burlap ribbon. We weaved the ribbon through the garland to give a fuller, country feel.

To finish off the centerpiece, we added LED candles and a quilted table runner I've had for years.

On Christmas Eve night, I'll be using these chocolate "twigs" at the place settings as well. I bought them at World Market. They are solid chocolate and delicious.

They look like the real thing!

Also, to use for dessert, I found Christmas, "woodsie" paper products. I bought them at Tuesday Morning. They'll fit right in with the theme.

So, that's how my table will be adorned Christmas Eve night. Next week, the Christmas in the Woods program.
