Apple Cinnamon Pancakes

Awhile back my sister-in-law made us apple pancakes for breakfast.
They were so good!
Since it's apple season, I've bee craving some of these pancakes
and came up with our own version.

You'll need:
 1 ½ cups flour
3 ½ tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 Tbsp sugar
4 Tbsp melted butter
1 egg
1 ½ cup milk
½ cup apple sauce
½ tsp cinnamon
1 apple, peeled and chopped

Take 1 Tbsp of the sugar and the ½ tsp of cinnamon, mix and set aside.  Mix the rest of the sugar, flour, baking powder, salt, butter, egg, apple sauce and milk with a whisk.  Toss the chopped apple with the cinnamon sugar mixture.

Add the coated apples to the pancake batter.
Grease your griddle with butter and spoon on the batter to bake into pancakes.

Already looking good!
Slather on some butter and eat as is--that is my favorite way.
A little crazy but I rarely use syrup.
Just the goodness of the cinnamon sugared apples and butter.

My family on the other hand loves syrup.
Grandpa is the syrup king
and adds a lot of "maple love" to his pancakes.

Enjoy this recipe with our printalbe copy {here}.
