Boo! holiday board

We're adding to our holiday boards with this "boo-tiful" board for Halloween.

A fun part of your front door decor!

I'm using a 5'x12" pine board.

Use black craft acrylic and paint one side.

After it drys, paint over it with orange.

Let it dry for a few hours and then sand.

I just used my little hand held mouse sander to get some of that black to show through.

So happy with the rough look of the sanded paint!

I had some of these cut out wood letters from my local craft store

and used them as a template for the BOO letters.

Trace around the bottom O and B first, then add the middle O- this sequence helps with your spacing of the letters.  I left some extra room on top for a bow.

Paint in your letters.

I'm using a dark gray metallic.

Picks up the shine of the sun.

Loving the combinations of all these paints!

Then tie on a fun bow.

I've got black tulle, sheer purple and topped it off with a glittered spider on web from the dollar store.
