We like to put together this BLESSING MIX
each November to hand out
to friends and
use on Thanksgiving day as a snack.
Here's what you need to make your own mix:
You can use any nut or seed.
I've used sunflower seeds (for those with a nut allergy)
but peanuts are always good.
Any dried fruit.
Usually we use dried cranberries and raisins.
Our original recipe had candy corn instead of popcorn.
You can find it {here}
You have to be on the ball to buy your candy corn during Halloween, right after or you'll miss it--its a hard candy to find out of season,
so our new recipe has popcorn, an easy find!
Buy a bag or jar of each.
As far as amounts,
put in a little of each [more of your favorites ;)]
and mix.
Scoop into bags.
4 x 6 is a good individual snack size.
Make sure you scoop some of each item into the bag.
Print off our Blessing Mix Tags
(change the sizing on your printer for a smaller tag if needed)
and staple right on the filled snack bag.
Or you can hole punch the corner and tie on with a fun ribbon.
We've also included our printable
THANKFUL
for
YOU
tag in the link.
Add that to your bag
and share with those you love!
I love this! We are having early Thanksgiving next Saturday since our two little grandkids will be with their dad on Thanksgiving--this will be perfect at each place setting! Thanks, Heidi!
