Anatomy of a Halloween Mantel

Today I've got some simple ideas for your Halloween mantel
or group some of these items for a table centerpiece.
 Let's break it down:

You can always use some spider webbing that can be found basically anywhere.
Pick up some at the dollar store and add a glittered spider on your web.

1. Don't you love this subway art!
I bought it years ago, just painted and distressed a piece of wood, then added the vinyl.  Not sure if Andy is still selling the vinyl, but you can check {here}

2. Fill a glass jar or vase with mini pumpkins.

3.  Cutest little printable "Along Came a Spider".
You can find it {here}.

4. It's our SPOOKY banner.
Just print it off and sew on the string!

5. Black ceramic Halloween jar with crow topped lid.
I picked this up at Hobby Lobby after the holiday for 60% off.

6 & 7.  Decorative apothecary glass jars.  Fill with "eye balls" or mini skulls.

8. Colored glass bottles.
Hobby Lobby has a bunch.
Look for them to go on sale or use their 40% off coupon.

Here's a close view of what we've seen so far:

And coming up:

9. Make your own creepy labeled jars and lid toppers {here}
They can hold all kinds of spooky treats!

10. Pick up some crows at the dollar store.

11. This resin  white pumpkin sits on a burlap square and pedestal.
Found it in Hobby Lobby's after Halloween sale.
I bet you could make something similar. (maybe we'll make it and post it next year!)
Garden finial stone in the back.

12.  I picked up this skull at the dollar store.
In sections, cover with Mod Podge sprinkle with a fine glitter.
I'm using Martha Smoky Quartz glitter.
The skull sits on a book wrapped in Halloween print scrapbook paper.

Have fun decorating your haunted house!
