Grilling Dry Rub and "Grill Master" Aprons

Recently my husband has gotten into grilling.
Since Father's Day is right around the corner,
I knew we had to come up with something he could use out on the grill.
I went all over Pinterest to find dry rub recipes,
got some inspiration
and have come up with my own savory mix.

Dry Rub Seasoning
Mix together:
3/4 cup Kosher salt
1/2 cup brown sugar
3 tsp paprika
1 tsp chili powder
2 1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 1/2 tsp black pepper
3 tsp dry mustard
2 tsp cumin
3 tsp onion powder
2 tsp crushed oregano leaves

Find a cute jar to put your rub in.

And print off our Grill Master Dry Rub Tags

You can tie the tag on your jar or
stick it on the lid.
I just ran the tag trough my sticker maker to easily attach on the lid.
Then tie a piece or two of jute around your jar.

This is a fast and easy gift to put together.
You probably have all the seasonings in your cabinet already!
When you add the tag,
your jar of dry rub is complete!

Of course every cook needs his own apron.
And since my husband is becoming a "grill master"...
I thought that would be fitting for his apron.
I found these nice, large size black aprons with pockets at Sams.
Three come in a pack (for not only dad but Grandpas too!)

I was super excited to try out some iron on thermal transfer
that I could cut with my Silhouette.
If you don't have the machine, no worries.
There are some really cute iron on letters that you can find at your local craft store.
You can also use this similar pattern I designed
and transfer the letters on the apron by using our transfer technique.
Then paint in your letters with a fabric paint, a paint pen or even acrylic craft paints will work and be permanent.
I'm so, so loving these aprons.

The perfect Father's Day or any day gift
for that special man in your life.
