Mad Scientist Trunk or Treat Car and Big Spooky Jar Labels Printable

Our church just had a fall get together.
Homemade chili and corn bread.
Carnival games for the kids and Trunk-or-Treating.

If you're not familiar with Trunk-or-Treating...
it's basically trick-or-treating but out of the back of your car.
Cars pull up in a parking lot with the trunks open and hand out candy
to the costumed kids coming by.
We love to decorate our trunk in some way.
This year we created a Mad Science Lab!

I wanted some big containers to hold our creepy, lab items.

Bat wings are mini bags of pretzels
in a dollar store bowl spray painted black.
We also picked up our rat, black cheesecloth and skull at that store.

We had to have some eyeball gumballs and eyeball glasses.
They're in a container from the dollar store and on my favorite galvanized metal cake stand.

These gummy fangs were the bomb!
I used an old pretzel jar for them.
Had a hard time getting the label off the jar,
so I just painted it black and added our Vampire Teeth label on top.

Lastly, our spider eggs a.k.a. mini cheese balls.

Great creepy treats for the kids.
Use this for an at home party too.
Print off your own labels here:

I ran mine through this handy sticker maker.
Then attached to the bottles.

The kids loved these spooky jars and their contents!
We used plastic black tablecloths (cutting the edges) and spider webs for our lab.
Plus our Mad Science Lab sign out of poster board.
Threw in few glow in the dark scorpions for good measure.

And the Mad Scientist herself to make it complete.

  2. Ahhhh Heidi, your mad scientist is the best. What a lovely idea. We don't really do Halloween here in South Africa because of the crime, but this would go down so well. The kids will be safe and still get all the candy and scare factors. Love how you kitted out your boot
