Pie take home container with Printable Tag

Package up some pie for your Thanksgiving guests to take home.
Forget about cake....

Let them eat PIE!

Pick up some paper food baskets and large cello bags.
I found these at Hobby Lobby.  The paper food tray is lined with a wax coating.  Love this so the pie juices won't soak through.
You can find some great Fall colors in bakers twine right now at the Dollar Store and Target's Dollar Spot.
You'll need to print off some of our labels here:

{Let them eat PIE!}

I used a 1 1/2" punch to cut out the circles around the label.
And then ran them through may sticker maker. (you could also use double sided tape to attach on)
So cute and ready to stick on the top of the cello bags.

Place some pie slices in the food basket.
Slip a cello bag over it, fold the end and tape closed.
Tie up with some bakers twine.
And add our fun tag on the top!

Couldn't resist showing you these fun mini ceramic pie plates.
Found them at Michaels.
So cute to display in your kitchen, give as a hostess gift or mail out in a care package.
(I mailed one out with an Old Fashioned mini Pie and other goodies to my college students)
A little lovin' from home.

I think I need to go get a piece of pie!

  1. This seems like a great way to make use of all of those unused craft supplies in storage! And it's easy enough to pack a cardboard container like this for your guests in such a way that the leftovers won't look too terrible to eat the next morning too huh? Thanks for sharing this!
